Itchen Sixth Form College is a proud and long-established educational institution, celebrating over 110 years of excellence in learning. As a state-inspected and state-funded college, we are committed to providing students with an outstanding academic experience in a supportive and dynamic environment.

With approximately 1,700 students aged 16-19, we offer an extensive range of over 80 A-level, T-level, and vocational courses designed to help students achieve their individual goals and excel in their chosen fields. Our wide variety of courses ensures that every student can find the path that suits their interests and aspirations, whether they’re focused on academic achievement, practical skills, or a combination of both.

At Itchen, we take great pride in our reputation, which attracts students from all over Hampshire and beyond. Around 40% of our students come from areas outside the local vicinity, including Bishops Waltham, Hedge End, Whiteley, Park Gate, Gosport, Lee-on-the-Solent, Bishopstoke, Chandler’s Ford, Fareham, Warsash, Hamble, Netley, Romsey, Baddesley, Swaythling, and more. This diverse student body enhances the vibrant, inclusive atmosphere at our college.

We are also home to a large Adult and Community Learning programme, offering a variety of courses and opportunities for lifelong learning.

Our students benefit from exceptional facilities that include a Drama theatre, Dance studio, Main Hall with seating and stage, Radio studio, Photography studio, Textiles studio, Graphics suite, Music technology suite, soundproofed performance rooms, a Recording studio, Sports hall, Gym, and fitness suite, as well as an on-site nursery. Itchen has earned a national reputation for the excellence of its sport programmes, with the Academy of Sport being a key part of this success. The Academy attracts talented athletes from across Hampshire and beyond, providing them with the opportunity to develop their sporting skills while pursuing their studies.
